[Product Name] L-Cysteine
L-Cysteine is a naturally occurring amino acid with many uses in food processing, primarily in baked goods as an essential component of dough conditioners. Cysteine acts as a reducing agent, promoting gluten formation, reducing mixing time and the energy required. By altering disulfide bonds between and within protein molecules, cysteine weakens the protein structure, allowing proteins to unfold.
M-L-Cysteine is mainly used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and biochemical research. In bread making, it promotes gluten formation, fermentation, mold release, and prevents aging. In natural juices, it prevents vitamin C oxidation and browning. It has detoxifying effects, useful in cases of acrylonitrile and aromatic acid poisoning. It also helps prevent radiation damage and is used to treat bronchitis, particularly as a mucolytic agent (often in the form of acetyl-L-cysteine methyl ester hydrochloride). In cosmetics, it is used in beauty lotions, perming solutions, and sun-protective creams.
1. In cosmetics: Used in the production of perming lotions, sunscreens, perfumes, and hair tonics. Cysteine-based perming solutions, replacing thioglycolic acid, offer easier perming, better hold, and soft, manageable hair. It is also used in formulating sunscreens and hair growth perfumes;

[Product Properties]
Food-grade L-cysteine is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, slightly odorous, sparingly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether and other organic solvents. Melting point is 240°C, monoclinic crystal system. As one of the sulfur-containing amino acids, it is a non-essential amino acid. In organisms, it is synthesized from methionine by the replacement of a sulfur atom with a serine hydroxyl oxygen atom via cystathionine. Glutathione can be generated from cysteine. Cysteine is stable in acid but easily oxidizes to cystine in neutral and alkaline solutions.
